 Shimmy Shake cross-over belly dance competition

The 3^rd edition of Shimmy shake is coming up soon!
Sunday 15^th of February 200913:30-19:00 in the Sugar Factory in the center of Amsterdam 

Just like last year, amateurs and professionals will compete to be the best, the most beautiful and most unique solo and group cross-over belly dance act of the year. You can win between €100 to €350 Euros, workshops, master classes and the chance to perform during the LiteSide Festival in August 2009 at the Westergasfabriek. 

It will be a fun afternoon hosted by tribal dancer Tjarda, from The Uzumè, with a great dance shows, live music, a special acts and of course the chance to show off your own dance moves during the MPS pilot DJ set. The best danser in the public also wins a prize! There’s drinks, snacks, henna tattooing and a bazaar wear you can buy all your latest belly dance accessories. 

Are you above 16, do you have dance experience and a passion for belly dance? Do you mix belly dance with other dance styles like break-dance, jazz, bollywood, flamenco, salsa, African dance or another dance style? Are you an amateur or professional, a solo or group act?
